Laura’s creative trajectory is anchored in a rich background in design and textile illustration. Since 2012, they have partnered with prominent international fashion and interior brands, with their illustrations featured on statement pieces across Australia, Europe, Asia, Canada, and the USA.

Since shifting their focus to oil painting in 2021, Laura’s contemporary practice has been heavily informed by Abstract Expressionism, characterised by a dynamic, gestural approach. This transition to abstraction has become a catalyst for Laura’s artistic growth, allowing them to carve out a distinctive voice within the medium. At the core of their current work is a thoughtful, critical engagement with the natural world, with their evolving practice increasingly dedicated to exploring the complex, interconnected themes of sustainability, rehabilitation, and the political dimensions of modern landscapes.
