Laura Prochowski commenced a collaboration with contemporary composer and pianist Alisha Redmond in 2023 after discovering a strong alignment between the themes in their respective practices. Drawn to a mutual focus on the dynamic relationship between humanity and the landscape, they began exploring how visual and sonic works can actively respond to and enhance the other. By intertwining these mediums, their collaboration investigates the power of multidisciplinary art to immerse audiences in new multi-sensory experiences. What began as an initial exploration has since evolved into an ongoing series of exhibitions and live performances.

These exhibitions centre around environments where ecological damage, economic pursuits, and efforts for rehabilitation collide. The artists aim to capture the unseen elements of these complex intersections through their combined practices reflecting the interaction of human activity on our environment. The artists embark on a site-specific research phase prior to commencing works and hold an ongoing commitment to engaging and consulting the local communities in the development of these projects.

The artists seek to draw attention to themes of agency, trust, and community building through their works - all vital components for survival in the current era.
